Executive Director

The Executive Director must be an articulate speaker, a critical thinker, and a problem solver. The ED must be capable of strengthening the long-term vision for the work of the organization, creating innovative strategies, facilitating teamwork, and uniting diverse constituencies around common solutions. Team leadership, fund-raising, and communication are core responsibilities. The ED should have a strong understanding of economic and racial justice issues, particularly institutional racism, white privilege, classism, in addition to knowledge of issues related to peace, human rights, and globalization. With this, a drive to pursue issues of racial inequity and social injustice. It is necessary for the ED to have a commitment to continuously expanding their understanding of these systems of oppression and have the ability to confront the many forms of oppression that exist in our society and the world.

The Executive Director reports to the Board and is a Full-Time, exempt position.
Projected annual salary range is $50,000- $60,000, commensurate with experience, generous combined time off benefit, PJC does not currently offer a health plan.

Community Engagement Manager

The Community Engagement Manager is responsible for the overall community outreach and programmatic engagement of the Peace & Justice Center. The Community Engagement Manager will work with the Executive Director and other staff to develop a vision for community engagement, and will play a lead role in implementing this vision.  

25-35 hours/week depending on applicant and with room to grow. Weekly schedule will vary and will sometimes include weekends and evening. This is a temporary position. We currently have funding until September 30 but hope to make this an ongoing position after that. $18-24/hour depending on the candidate. Generous Combined Time Off (CTO) package. No healthcare benefits.

Racial Justice Advisory Committee

We are currently adding members to our Racial Justice Advisory Committee. This committee, made up of people of color, exists to guide the work of the PJC, not just the racial justice programs, but all of our work, to be sure we are working through an intersectional, anti-racist lens. The committee is one of the accountability measures we use to do our work the best we can. Committee members are paid. Click here for more information and to apply.
