How the Peace & Justice Center Can Partner with You

In addition to our educational programs on racial justice, fair trade, and nonviolence, the Peace & Justice Center exists to support activists and activist groups around Vermont. We encourage newer activists through our intern and volunteer program by giving them the skills and motivation to carry out our mission. We also offer the following assistance:

Support group meetings/programs

  • Meeting space in our Burlington community room for $10/hour or pass the basket. No fee for student groups or groups led by people of color
  • White board; projector, laptop, and screen; and reduced cost photocopies provided
  • Space for up to 30 people

Event promotion

  • Add to our community calendar
  • Put in the “upcoming events” section of the biweekly e-news that goes to 6,000+ people
  • Publish a guest post about your event on our blog
  • Link to the blog post in our enews
  • Officially cosponsor an event
  • Help hang fliers in the Burlington area
  • Cross market on social media

Legislative campaigns

  • Mobilize people to attend committee hearings, press conferences, etc
  • Mobilize people to call and/or email elected officials
  • Host and/or staff phone banking
  • Highlight issues in our blog and on social media
  • Join coalitions as we are able

Amplification of your ideas and voices

  • Publish articles in our quarterly print newsletter (distribution 1200)
  • Publish a guest blog post on our website
  • Linking to the blog post in our enews
  • Link to the blog post on social media


  • Photocopying at a reduced rate
  • A guaranteed audience at our weekly programming meeting and/or monthly volunteer gathering for short educational presentations on your work
  • Send press releases to our media list of 135 contacts
  • Share our event insurance
  • Sign municipal permit applications
  • Button making (1” or 1.5”)
