Hi, my name is Anna Shea (she/her), and I’m excited to be the new Peacework intern with the PJC for the summer! I’m a rising junior at the University of Vermont, majoring in environmental studies and minoring in geography. I’m super interested in environmental racism, which is how environmental impacts disproportionately affect groups based on race and class. On campus, I have been involved in work with the UVM Socialists and Students for Justice in Palestine, which I helped to get recognized by our Student Government Association during my freshmen year. I applied for this internship because I’ve been a part of organizing events that the PJC has cosponsored in the past, and knowing the great work that they do, I knew this would be a great opportunity to expand my work as an activist.
