Upcoming PJC Events

The following events are hosted, organized, co-sponsored, or in collaboration with/by the Peace & Justice Center and are open to the public – we hope you can join us!

We charge a fee for many of our publicly hosted programs. No individual is turned away from any of our our programs due to a lack of funds. People under 25 are not expected to contribute financially. We ask those who are able to pay full price or more for our programs to do. This helps keep our programs financially accessible to all, regardless of income. Not sure if you should pay less, more, or nothing? View our Sliding Scale document to find an amount that feels appropriate to you.

No Más Polimigra Teach-In @ St. Michael’s College

March 5 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm EST

Join activists fighting for the rights of your immigrant neighbors in learning about the No Mas Polimigra Campaign. This campaign, started by Migrant Justice, is working to close loopholes in the statewide Fair and Impartial Policing Policy that allow for collaboration between local police and federal immigration officials. Winooski passed this policy in 2018, so now Burlington and Hartford are working to pass the same resolution.

Burlington City Council will be voting on whether or not to pass it on March 9. This teach-in will inform you about how you can support current campaigns, and even start a campaign of your own!

Hosted by Community Voices for Immigrant Rights, No Mas Polimigra BTV, the St Mike’s Civil Rights Alliance, and the Peace & Justice Center.

St. Michael’s College, Cheray Science Hall, Rm. 101. FREE.
