Upcoming PJC Events

The following events are hosted, organized, co-sponsored, or in collaboration with/by the Peace & Justice Center and are open to the public – we hope you can join us!

We charge a fee for many of our publicly hosted programs. No individual is turned away from any of our our programs due to a lack of funds. People under 25 are not expected to contribute financially. We ask those who are able to pay full price or more for our programs to do. This helps keep our programs financially accessible to all, regardless of income. Not sure if you should pay less, more, or nothing? View our Sliding Scale document to find an amount that feels appropriate to you.

POSTPONED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE Migrant Justice Milk with Dignity Tour!

March 17 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm EDT

Free

This event is postponed until further notice.

Farmworkers from Vermont are hitting the road this March to spread the word about Milk with Dignity! Since Ben & Jerrys’ became the first company to sign onto the Milk with Dignity Program in 2017, farmworkers have seen groundbreaking improvements in human rights issues on dairy farms across the state. This program also supports farmers by securing a milk premium from big dairy-buying companies which goes directly to farmers and farmworkers. In the fall of 2019 farmworkers announced plans to expand the program to another regional dairy-buyer, the Hannaford supermarket! Join us to learn more about Milk with Dignity, exciting updates about the Hannaford Campaign and how to get involved! This event is FREE and hosted by the First Unitarian Universalist Society of Burlington, Community Voices for Immigrant Rights, Migrant Justice and the Peace & Justice Center.
