Community Voices for Immigrant Rights

October 15 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm
Free

This will be our 8th open-community working meeting with opportunities for new and seasoned organizers alike to get involved. The primary purpose of this meeting will be to organize for the protest on 10/20. No matter your skill-set, introvert or extrovert, there is something for you to contribute and make a difference!

Lots more info on Close the Camps/Stop the Deportations available here.

For too long we’ve looked away. Now is the time to come together in community and plan best ways to support both local and national efforts seeking immigrant justice. Please join us at Rights & Democracy HQ, 241 N. Winooski Ave, BTV, on TUESDAY, October 15 from 5:30-7:30, to discuss how to ensure that our efforts are long-term, sustained, and supportive of both local and national orgs doing the work on the ground. Arrive early (5:30) for food & conversation. We will then begin promptly at 6PM. Free childcare provided. Food generously donated by the Vermont Worker Center’s People’s Kitchen but cash donations to offset costs greatly appreciated. This location is accessible for people with disabilities. If you need special accommodations, please let us know by emailing [email protected].
