Author & Artist Series: Jodi Girouard, Talking with the Neighbors
December 15, 2022 @ 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm

Join the Peace & Justice Center on Thursday, December 15th, for a discussion and Q&A with Vermont author Jodi Girouard about her book, Living with the Neighbors.
Jodi Girouard has been writing since she learned to hold a pencil. She spends time writing poetry for others to uplift spirits and bring more compassion to the world. She has written three books, and this latest one, Living with the Neighbors, came out late last year. It is her memoir of living with a severe mental illness and reaching out for help through faith, nature, and communities. Jodi serves on the Howard Center Board, VT NAMI board, and other organizations to reduce stigma attached to living with a mental illness.
She wants the world to break down barriers so to lift up those that still hide from fear of stigma. She does this through sharing her story. Jodi is interested in conversations that foster compassion and further understanding.
Jodi is a native Vermonter who holds a Bachelor of Arts in Education and English and has a blog, that she writes weekly. Her book, Living with the Neighbors, will be available to purchase at the event.
