August 30 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

As an organization dedicated to non-violence, the Peace & Justice Center recognizes the longstanding debates within activist circles around violence in revolutionary struggle and its justifications. But what is the theory behind these debates? How have anarchists in particular throughout history dealt with this question? Come have a conversation with us as we read from great thinkers of the past and present about the question of revolutionary violence, and why non-violent activism has such stalwart defenders, even in the face of extremely repressive state violence.
