Hello, my name is Meryl Braconnier (she/her), and I am a new Programming Intern at the Peace & Justice Center. I am a rising junior at the University of Vermont, studying Environmental Science with minors in French, Chemistry and Mathematics. As a student and young woman, I am driven by my passion for the complex interactions between people and the environment and my belief in equality and social justice. I applied to the PJC with the hope to learn more about racial justice, peace work and fair trade and to further explore how social inequalities reflect on our relationship with the environment. I am looking forward to gaining more awareness of current day events and to connecting more with the community outside of the University of Vermont.
