Hi! My name is Jason Dana, I use he/him/his pronouns, I am a Senior Social Work Major at the University of Vermont and I’m really excited to be a Peacework intern with the Peace and Justice Center this summer! I applied for this internship because I was looking for a position that embodies my personal values of peace, dignity and justice. I have done peace and social justice related work in the past as a co-president of UVM’s Amnesty International Chapter, and as a member of many other campus organizations. I have a strong personal interest in the intersections of social justice and and mindfulness practice.
Fun fact: My last name “Dana” (pronounced Dāna) is a Sanskrit and Pali word that connotes the virtue of generosity. My parents chose this as a family name which my siblings and I share and which my parents hyphenated onto their last names.
